Welcome to page 3 of the James Wilbur Wood Museum. Here you will find a constantly replenished tribute to a Master Lucite Carver of the 40's through the 70's. James carved for a living, and because he often left the finishing of his pieces to retailers, he often did not get high prices for his work even though it was sold in shops all across the country. Thousands of James Wood Lucite pieces exist, ranging in variety from roses to fish to Hawaii souvenirs. Many pieces can be identified by family members. To learn more about James Wilbur Wood click on the History link at the top of the page where you will find an updated version of an article written by Cheryl that appeared in the Winter of 1999 issue of "Vintage Fashion and Costume Jewelry." (To receive a copy of that issue or to subscribe contact VFCJ@aol.com) Come back to this page often as we will be continually adding new photos of James Wood's vintage Lucite artwork.
